![]() Barça’s amazing Lionel Messi got his 100th and 101st goals as a Barcelona player after he scored a brace against Sevilla on Saturday. Messi scored his first goal back on May 1st, 2005 with a stunning strike in a 2-0 victory over Albacete. Since then, it has been six seasons of amazing progress for Messi. Messi has scored 101 goals in just 188 games, an achievement that no other Barça player has reached at such a young age (22 years, six months and 22 days old). It just seems like yesterday that he scored his hat trick against Real Madrid but those were in fact goals number 14, 15, and 16. At just 22, here’s wishing Messi more continued success in what promises to be a legendary career with more records to break and titles to be won. Here is a detailed tally of Messi’s goals over the last six seasons: 2004-2005: 1 goal, 9 games 2005-2006: 8 goals, 25 games 2006-2007: 17 goals, 36 games 2007-2008: 16 goals, 40 games 2008-2009: 38 goals, 51 games 2009-2010: 21 goals, 27 games
